Flashguns

Indie Rock, New Wave, British

An exciting London/Brighton quartet. Sam Johnston (Vocals and Guitar,) songwriter, fuses fast, disjointed tunes with dark, Audenesque lyrics and “plaintive vocals” (Steve Lamacq.) Rich, textural organ riffs (Oli Wright) lend a mysterious, almost haunting tone to the songs, Olly Scanlon’s intricate bass lines are integral to the music whilst all the above is held together with time keeper Giles Robinson on drums adds the trade mark raw, lightening speed. Heavily influenced by bands such as the Smiths and the Cure, more modern influences include the Maccabees, the Mystery Jets, Biffy Clyro, The Killers and Bombay Bicycle Club. Although still at boarding school, Flashguns are committed to writing and regular practice which gives for intense stage presence; which has been encapsulating audience across the London and Brighton region, and over an album’s worth of songs, with another album’s worth in the nascent stages of composition and arrangement.

Wohltuend erfrischende Musik - eine der besten Newcomer Bands der letzten Jahre - warte sehnsüchtig auf das Debutalbum!
