Well it was a great year. We got a lot of new bands, new albums and exciting videos, live-shows and festivals. In the end of a year it's time to remember and what should we say? We did it! Der Sommer geht, der Winter kommt. Irgendwo zwischen diesen beiden Stimmungslagen liegt auch das neue Mixtape. Sommerliche Klänge gibt es von The Lost Crew und The Holidays, rauere Töne dagegen von 1000 Robota und Las Robertas. Garniert wird das Ganze durch tanzbare und melancholische Beat's von Miami Horror, Fenech-Soler, Kids of 88, Sunns, Kisses oder Made in Japan. Ob nun tanzbar oder melancholisch, poppiger oder rockiger. Reinhören lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

"Schnell, langsam, langsam, Schnell - Hell, dunkel, dunkel, Hell"
Die Kölner Elektro-Band MIT bringt mit ihrem zweiten Album 'Nanonotes' eine Platte auf den Markt, die wesentlich reifer wirkt als ihr elektropunkiger Vorgänger. MIT adaptieren auf diesem Werk bekannte Bands wie Kraftwerk, was sich in ihren Stücken auch zielsicher widerspiegelt. Mit „Nanonotes“ veröffentlichen MIT ihren bereits siebten Tonträger und scheinen gleichzeitig ihren Sound gefunden zu haben. Ähnlich wie bei Kraftwerk, bestechen die Songs auf MITs zweitem Album durch ihre kühle und düstere Athmosphäre. Ironischerweise ist es gerade der Song „Nanonotes“, der durch seine eingängigen Melodien und hellen Klangfarben aus dem Konzept fällt. Sonst gilt: Die Technik beherrscht den Menschen, der nur hilflos und roboterähnlich darüber singen kann. Die schwere Stimmung des Albums drängt sich aber niemals auf, sondern lädt nur höflich ein, sich mit ihr treiben zu lassen. Und diese Einladung nimmt der Hörer bei dieser Band dankbar an. Rundum ein gelungenes Album, auch wenn es aufpassen muss nicht an einigen Stellen zu getragen und einschläfernd zu wirken.
